The material
Turkish rose absolute at 3%, with rhubarb and cassis leaf providing the sourness. The trick is a trace of ambrette seed in the base, which smells faintly of skin and stops the whole thing reading as air freshener.

On skin
Sharp and green for five minutes, then a very generous rose that stays for hours. The cloudy-water quality is subtle and most people read it simply as 'a rose that is not sweet'.
