The material
Immortelle absolute does the heavy lifting: it smells of hay, maple and hot stone at once. It is expensive and unstable in light, which is why the bottle is tinted and why this is the priciest fragrance in the collection.

On skin
Saffron and blood orange for the first fifteen minutes, then a long slow slide into beeswax and labdanum. It sits very close after two hours and stays legible on a scarf for days.
